The Bookshelf Project Inc., an early literacy intervention nonprofit, is proud to offer comprehensive, customizable, fee-for-service Early Literacy Professional Development (PD) services. Our professional development services are designed to empower early childhood educators in early education programs, schools, and other settings with building their capacity to support early literacy development in young learners.

Service Overview

Our professional development program equips early childhood educators with research-based strategies to support foundational literacy skills from birth through age eight. Through customizable training modules, educators gain practical tools to create literacy-rich environments, foster early language development, and engage families in their child’s literacy journey. Training is available in flexible formats, including single-day intensives, multi-day workshops, and ongoing coaching.

For instructional leaders and coaches, we offer specialized modules focused on effective mentoring, data-driven coaching, and culturally responsive literacy practices. Our approach ensures sustainable implementation, empowering educators to build strong literacy foundations for young learners. Sessions are available in-person, virtually, or through a hybrid model to accommodate diverse needs.
